Trauma, toxins or viruses can also be the cause of cerebellar ataxia in dogs. That part of the brain that controls balance - the cerebellum - is affected by this type of ataxia. In the case of vestibular ataxia it affects the inner ear and the alignment of a dogs body and head. Not standing straight and holding the head at an angle are typical signs. The spinal cord and thus the position of the dogs legs are affected by sensory ataxia. Some signs of this type are the dog crossing its legs when walking or they may walk on the back of their paws.

Both species are known to be very social and require a lot of attention. To make sure the pet doesnt destroy the household or the surrounding areas, the fox can be tied up or secured in a kennel. These animals need a lot of exercise. The owner can walk it around the neighborhood on a leash but make sure it doesnt get loose because the creature can run fast and will take some time to catch.
