In todays world, the art of cartooning is used in various ways. Newspapers use political cartoons, drawn on political current affairs. Comic strips are also published in newspapers that have a set of characters shown in different situations in each new strip. There are animators who use computer software to draw and animate cartoons for making animation films. Even advertising agencies use cartoon to portray any funny situation in an ad campaign.
5. SpongeBob SquarePants - The character was created by Stephen Hillenburg, who is an animator and marine biologist. On July 17, 1999, the series was first aired on Nickelodeon. The cartoon shows of Spongebob SquarePants were especially loved by children, who voted for it and made it the most popular series on Nickelodeon. The show’s protagonist is a sea sponge named Spongebob, who actually looks like a regular kitchen cleaning sponge. He lives under the sea in a town called Bikini Bottom. Spongebob is a cook and overtly optimistic. The storyline of the episodes shows him helping his friends or going on an adventure with them.
