Since it can be a gradual process your pet may actually be used to the tooth pain and discomfort from dental disease. One of the most common comments after a pet with severe dental disease has a dental cleaning is that their pet has wonderful breath and seems so much more comfortable and happy!
Feeding Dogs Dairy Products! Whether or not dogs can eat dairy products such as milk, Yoghurt and cheese is one of the most commonly asked questions from new dog owners. Unfortunately there is no concise answer to this, since individual dogs vary. The most abundant sugar in dairy products is lactose, which is a disaccharide that consists of bonded galactose and glucose fragments and which requires an enzyme called lactase to be able to digest it. The enzyme cleaves the lactose molecule into its two subunits, the simple sugars glucose and galactose, which can then be readily absorbed. When a mammals body does not secrete the lactase enzyme from their intestinal villi, they are unable to digest lactose and may suffer from unusual digestive symptoms.
