Two of the most common conditions plaguing our dog population today are hip dysplasia and soft tissue injuries to the knee such as ACL tears (ruptures or strains of the anterior cruciate ligament in the stifle joint). Both are generally corrected by surgery and, particularly in the case of ACL tears, have a high rate of reoccurrence and post-surgical development of arthritis. Pet massage therapy can play a crucial role in optimal and rapid recovery from such surgeries and may play a role in reducing the risk of re-injury. Post-surgical confinement also causes boredom and restlessness for many animals and diminished the health of the immune system which is dependent on activity for optimal health. Animal massage can be used to reduce boredom, decrease stress and increase relaxation for dogs and cats during periods of confinement.
If one tries to be wealthy enough, then he must have to rule out his career by opening a large dispensary for animals or he can even open up his own private zoo. This can even make him earn around $10,000 per month. Who knows that the private zoo might turn into a wildlife sanctuary in 10-20 years? Students should try to gather knowledge about the scope in career as an animal caretaker. Proper courses should be offered by universities and now most of the universities have even started offering short time certificate courses and diploma courses for animal caretaking.
There are 3 different clinical types of this condition including, cerebellar, sensory, and vestibular. Each type of ataxia will be manifested by impaired coordination when walking or standing. Changes in the dogs neck and head movement are characteristic of cerebellar and vestibular ataxia. The possibility that your dog has ataxia is evidenced in a variety of ways. Your dogs limbs may become weak. This symptom can be seen in all or just one or two limbs. Sometimes it is seen only on one side of the body or just in the hind legs. Other signs include tilting the head back and forth and abnormal eye movements.
