4. Richie Rich - It was one of the popular cartoon shows of the early 80s. It was first aired on ABC in 1980 and continued for 4 years. It was again begun in 1988 and was shown on weekends. Even before Richie Rich series was launched, people loved the cartoon, as it was already available in print by Harvey Comics. The story revolves around a boy named Richie Rich. He is aged between 10 and 13 years old, has a pet dog named Dollar, and lives with his parents. He also has a friend named Gloria and a robot maid.
Kids like to imagine and create additional scenes in their heads and having cartoon character toys that they are already familiar with gives them a jumping off point for those imaginary journeys. It also gives them a chance to act out scenes that they wish that they could see on television, such as a superhero battling a dinosaur or a bad guy getting eaten by a large stuffed bear. There are no limits to a childs imagination, but sometimes the kids would rather feature characters they know in their imaginings than making up an entirely new character on their own. Overall, it is a sane type of entertainment, there is nothing wrong or unhealthy with kids playing and acting as their favourite characters as long as their parents teach them to differentiate the fiction from the reality. After all, with memorizing the characters phrases what the kid is doing is helping to developing his memory skills and who knows he can be the next best scientist in the future.
